I went on a holiday to the Algarve in Portugal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algarve . I have been here often. I enjoy the ocean, the history and the food.
While there I once again went to Mount Foia where I finally saw the Atlantic Ocean. It is the highest point in the Algarve. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%B3ia_(mountain).
While walking along the beach in Albufeira, Portugal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albufeira_Municipality a shell rolled against my foot. Another first. I couldn’t allow this shell to be pulled back into the ocean, so I chased after it. It surprised me because an assumption is that most shells are beautiful. This one is not.
It reminded me of assumptions we make about the world around us.After returning home, I attended the Snowflake Bazaar in Lumsden, SK. http://www.lumsden.ca/lumsden/ with another author Chris Henry. She sold her book, InspirationsPoetry and Verse from Above and Beyond http://www.amazon.com/Inspirations-Poetry-Verse-Above-Beyond/dp/1452578028/
And I had Woman of Substance for sale. It was a wonderful venue to begin the holiday spirit.
Finally, last week I approached SaskMade Marketplace http://www.saskmade.ca/ . They have opened a pop up store in the Cornwall Center Mall, Regina, SK. The owner Candace Ippolito has agreed to take Woman of Substance on consignment.
And today, I attended Remembrance Day Service 2013 City of Regina Cenotaph.
